En Shi Yu Lu is one of the few steamed Chinese green tea originating from Hubei province. Located in the southwest region of Hubei Province, Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture is bordered by Chongqing in the north and the west, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Hunan Province in the south and in neighborhood of Shennongjia Forest Zone in the northeast and Yichang City in the east. The prefecture bears a subtropical mountain climate distinctly influenced by monsoon. Weather there is moderately humid all year round. Enshi is rarely bothered by extreme heat in midsummer or coldness in midwinter.
The name translates to Enshi's "jade dew" and refers to the pale green color of the infusion. Its leaves are long and thin, reminiscent of gyokuro or sencha leaves, and are processed with skillful Chinese hands. It is a premium green tea with sweetness and floral taste.
