Emei Mao Feng is orignated from Mount Emei, a lush and tall sacred mountain dotted with twenty active temples and monestaries linked by hundreds of thousands of stairs. It has been one of the Middle Kingdom's four Buddhist Mountains since the advent of Buddhism in China and is nowadays a popular pilgrimage site. In season, you will share the path with people of all ages and all walks of life attempting the arduous climb of more than 2500m elevation gain. Despite the boisterous activity at the temples, shrouded in clouds of incense, the mountain is vast so it is the perfect location to enjoy the scenic views over precipituous crags, and the beautiful forest of pine, fir, and cedar treeswithout disturbance. |
